Bodhi was born in June 2006 (as far as we can tell) and was found at the NM Animal Humane Association. He's part Maine Coon, very smart, and torments all the other cats. He loves people and purrs whenever you pet him or pick him up. |

Q Doodle Bug was found in the Española Animal Shelter in March 2002. She had been there since January. She had been adopted once and returned because she "did not get along with owner." She's a tiny kitten, only 6 lbs. She's had one claw ripped out. We have no idea how. Anayway she is just the cutest thing that can be found perching in strange places when she's not bullying Damien, our 14.5 lb boy kitty. |

Calliope came to us via the Santa Fe Humane Society. I had gone in to donate some cat food our other cats wouldn't eat and decided to visit the cats. I was drawn to Calliope because I thought she was the most beautiful. This was in June, 1999 and in the middle of kitten season. Everyone wants kittens, not full grown cats. They told he if I was interested in her, I'd better put a hold on her. I thought they meant that someone else was interested in adopting her but no...they meant her time was up and they were planning on putting her down. Ok, call me a bleeding heart, but there was no way that was going to happen. We adopted her that day. We believe she was feral at some time in her life as she is scared of EVERYTHING! She also was obviously abused. When she first came home with us, she would hiss at feet! She was terrified of them. Also, the vet said she is missing some of her back teeth so we think she was probably kicked pretty hard at least once. She has bonded with me though and sleeps with me every night. |
| Damien Yes, Damien is the one that was shot by a neighbor. But $900 later, you'd never know and it certainly has NOT slowed him down. Here is a picture of Damien's stomach after his surgery to remove the BB. |
